Hypnotherapy

There is a difference between hypnotherapy and staged hypnosis. Staged hypnosis is for entertainment purposes. I promise I won't have you running around the room doing crazy things or do anything that makes you feel uncomfortable!

Hypnotherapy can help with a variety of problems including habit breaking or coping with stress and/or anxiety.

What you need is not always what you believe you want, but it is already inside you. Using the power of suggestion when you are in a relaxed state we can explore and help you work out what this is and achieve your goals. 

 

 

What to expect

First, we will have a chat to discuss what you hope to achieve and agree what methods we will use. I would talk to you about things you enjoy and those you don't. It wouldn't be right to guide you to a waterfall if you have a fear of water!

After this, I will:

  • lead you into a deeply relaxed state – most people feel refreshed and relaxed
  • use your agreed methods to help you towards your goals – for example, suggesting why you do not want to continue with a particular habit or walking you through your special place to relieve anxiety
  • gradually bring you out of the trance-like state. Most people feel refreshed and relaxed

You're fully in control when under hypnosis and do not have to follow my suggestions if you do not want to . You can bring yourself out of the hypnotic state at any time.

Hypnosis does not work if you do not want to be hypnotised.

In the UK Hypnotherapists do not have to have any training by law. The NHS recommend you use a practitioner that is Registered with The Professional Standards Authority (PSA), and I am pleased to say that I am.

Free 15 minute initial assessment

£40.00 for 1 session

£210.00 for a block of 6 sessions - paid in advance
